Beach Cleanup Project

The Community Services avenue of the Rotaract club of the university of Colombo School of computing is the Department dedicated to the service of the people of society. We try to give as much as we can for our society with our community services team with the two directors and the members of the avenue.

As the first project from the community services avenue of the Rotaract club of the University of Colombo School of Computing, We held a coastal cleanup project on 10th August 2022. Our goal was to address the garbage disposal problem of Panadura beach. Along with that, we were able to send a message to the public regarding the importance of environmental conservation.

The project chair for this project was senuri wickramasinghe, who is a member of the community service avenue of the Rotaract club. She had a team of three members to successfully organize this project and they did an amazing job to make this project a success. for This coastal cleanup project, we contacted the panadura municipal council and got their consent on garbage disposal guidelines too.
